Previous action items

Thomas sent the draft content for OSS4ITS page to Deb. She discussed it with Ariel and Sam and they are deciding where to place it on data hub site.

Status/General Discussion

Architecture diagrams:

  • Before last scrum of scrums meeting, Tony, Sudhakar and Jayashree had tried to merge all the layer 2 diagrams and had encountered errors that needed to be corrected. They added elements and made sure that physical definitions matched, and tried to do another merge early this week and found new issues, for e.g., missing information flows when the merged diagrams are imported from RAD-IT to SET-IT. They have a call with Tom on 2/26 to discuss these issues and figure out a solution.

Deb does not want further changes made to child projects until this architecture diagram is finished. She mentioned that people are looking at how to layout architecture and if we don’t have an answer, they’ll do it their own way. She wants to talk through the architecture status with Tony and Sudhakar (and Tom) next week. Sam would like to join that meeting.

ITS JPO Web Page for OSS4ITS:

  • Michelle and Ariel are making final recommendation for where this webpage will be displayed. Sam will be looking for the fastest location so that it will be live prior to South by Southwest, and he will get back to Deb on the location.

  • This webpage is the Common point of interface, and Deb would like it to be the initial test for what that would look like. People need to get used to coming to this website/email etc. for information on any of these efforts. The goal is to keep what each project does best and eliminate redundancy and getting stakeholder feedback will be very important. The goal is for current page is to be a placeholder for now.

Deb wants us to keep the look and feel for the webpage to be similar to https://its.dot.gov/code/ and https://its.dot.gov/data/. Sam mentioned not worry about the metrics for now, and just match to have the same look and feel for now. Sooner this webpage is set up, the sooner we can do community outreach efforts. Deb will wait to hear back from Sam.

SDC update

  • SDC is actively being used by half a dozen projects right now. They are performing nightly/weekly exports of data sets. They can do performance metrics for CARMA project data for example.

The system is going through changes currently to integrate into the DOT enterprise cloud services, happening later this year. Deb would like that current change being documented somewhere for the Prod site (note this will not affect the links that are in OSS4ITS Confluence page since it shows development links). Are these changes being tracked as an epic 4? Yes, there are a number of epics built around that to make sure we conform with the DOT directory and related requirements.

Action items

Sam to work internally to determine best location for ITS JPO landing page.
