V2X Hub/ODE updates

  • The team completed Sprint 12 yesterday (6/29) with 9 story points completed. The goal of this sprint was to wrap up the set up tasks for conducting the release testing for V2X Hub, and also creating an action plan on identifying any security updates for V2X Hub.

  • The team will start working on Sprint 13 starting today. The main tasks for this sprint will be to wrap up the release testing for V2X Hub and start working on the OSS4ITS reference implementation testing tasks.

WYDOT/CDOT updates

  • ODE - Tested the PR for Java updates, but ran into issues with decode/encode. The change is no longer working. Dan has a fix out for it now. The team will test it with WYDOT and CDOT service.

  • CDOT is getting existing implementation to production this week. Will verify the Java fixes fixes once the prod release is completed.

  • Region 1 will start testing all the messages, MAP, SPaT, SSM, SRM and TIM in July.

CARMA Platform/Data updates

  • Finished testing of CARMA release 3.6.0, and have it available on Github. This release includes TIM and weather use cases.

  • This release has 4 major features :

    • ADS unobstructed lane changes - this is when a vehicle changes lanes when in a queue. This will happen because the lane in which the vehicle is traveling is closed.

    • Another feature is related to the TIM message. We are sending a message to vehicle from an emergency responder vehicle which is responding to incident on highway, and this will demonstrate the move over law. The key feature that will be tested is enabling communications between emergency vehicle and ADS vehicles.

    • Also added the feature for gaps and vehicles to manage and observe lane status.

    • The last feature added is the CARMA Cloud integration. Vehicles are able to use V2V and V2I using DSRC as communication method for communication. There are several PRs in this release.

    • Next use case will be platooning and the team will be testing at ACM this week, and for the next couple of weeks.

  • The team is also working on Freight and TSMO use cases and these are coming up later this year.

  • On the data side, most of the effort has been focused on data collection. The data is being uploaded to AWS and we are running scripts to extract and transform this data. Some of this data will be sent to SDC once it is ready.

SDC updates

  • Working with the team on OSS4ITS reference implementation. Addressing a couple of small issues. One of them is the uploading of gzip files- this is the first time gzip files were uploaded in Data Lake, and the file unzipped to a zero byte file. The fix provided did not work.

  • ARDS is still working on their UAT for phase 1, waiting on their team.

Econolite

  • Have a kickoff meeting with Michigan DOT and county and then will be finalizing the design documents.

  • Tentative schedule is design work for now for the next 3 months.

  • Once the design is stable, they will reach out to the Leidos team to set up an overview meeting.

SET-IT

No current updates. Will resume this task after the release testing and reference implementation work is completed.

Other

Sudhakar and Tony will set up some time to discuss TransUrban data flow.
