V2X Hub/ODE updates

  • Completed Sprint 11 on 6/9 with 5 story points completed, some of these are:

    • Spike to create a plan to integrate security with V2X Hub

    • Testing the transfer of SPaT log files from V2X Hub to ODE - DONE

    • Update the log scheduling code in V2X Hub for MAP message real-time format

    • Implement code to support MAP messages in ODE - DONE

    • Set up for release testing for V2X Hub repo

  • We are working on Sprint 12 with 24 story points planned. The goal of this sprint is to complete the set up tasks for V2X Hub release testing and perform the testing. Also we are working on a security spike to document an action plan for V2X Hub to document the HSM selection and implementation.

WYDOT/CDOT updates

  • WYDOT - Java updates are being tested currently.

  • WZDC tool is the process of being migrated to AWS, and when that is completed, the end point for the interface will change.

  • CDOT – Testing MAP SPaT, SSM, SRM and TIM messages in July. Will coordinate with V2X Hub backlog (SSM/SRM are in the backlog but lower in priority).

  • Adding privacy protection in ODE for CDOT.

  • Building out shape files for I-25, C-470 and I-70

CARMA updates

  • Finished Sprint 47 and started Sprint 48. The CARMA team spent more time on testing last sprint. Traffic incident management use case was completed.

  • Conducted end to end testing for Weather interface with CARMA Cloud and the vehicles. There were some issues with data that took some time. As of yesterday, the messages are being received and end to end testing is being performed at Summit Point. Will continue to test it.

  • For platooning and basic travel testing, there will be two vehicles used (leader and follower). The initial testing has pointed to the steering algorithm issue, with large values being output. Need to start verification testing at ACM in Detroit.

  • On the data side, the data is being stored in Rosbags on the vehicles. We have a couple of terabytes of data collected for CARMA analytics. The team are running reports and posting metrics to Volpe and FHWA. There will be lots of testing going on next couple of months.

  • CARMA Streets: It is a new component being developed, and thr work will span different projects like TSMo and CARMA Freight. It provides all the computational needs, which can be supported by the boundary device which is V2X Hub.

SDC updates

  • Working with OSS4ITS team for the ingest firehose. Addressed a couple of issues that Dan found when she tested the firehose and S3 bucket connection. One issue is remaining.

  • Next few days, will check on whether Firefose and S3 whether the 2 ingest points are working.

  • Dev team is working with FRA, ARDA on an issue

SET-IT

Andrew reviewed the updates to the SET-IT diagrams and clarified questions from Iteris, and sent the updated as-is diagrams out. Next steps will be to start updating these diagrams for the V2X Hub and ODE ongoing work.

Other

Econolite: Eric is working on high level design for micro services for ODE and V2X Hub. The team will need a high level overview of the design. They can share their design plans in a month or so. We would like to make sure that queue detection, CV apps and event taxonomies are consistent. Tony can help with this. Most of the work may be in CARMA Streets and V2X Hub. Jayashree will set up a separate overview meeting with Econolite.
