We favor estimating relatively, more than absolutely
Using modified Fibonacci sequence:
- 1, 2, 3, 5, 8
Story points are unit-less
All items are estimated relative to a baseline that the team understands well
Story points simultaneously capture
- How much work is there?
- How hard is that work?
- How much risk is there?
